A little bit about me
I’ve made my home base in Fenwick, Ontario in the beautiful country of Canada. My journey into tech started in the 90's with a degree in electrical engineering and computer programming in the ancient language of Fortran 77. As I started growing my family I temporarily put away my formal job but never left my love for tech behind. I went on to create a small business for myself, designed my website from scratch, became one of the first people on facebook, and was "Invited" to join pinterest.
I've always been involved with the web and want to continue that working from home. My goal is to work in front end development and enjoy all the problem solving that it brings. Turning complex problems into simple, beautiful and intuitive designs gives me the freedom & versatility to still be a mother and return back to work. In my free time, when I'm not focusing on my screen, you will find me reading a good book, gourmet cooking or sewing up the latest fashion.
Hand-Coded HTML
My focus is writing clean, well-formatted, semantic HTML5 by hand to make sure that the content is easy to read, easy to collaborate, trouble-shoot and accessible.
Well-Organized CSS
I pride myself on writing CSS that is easy to read and build on. I focus on keeping my CSS lean and fast to load, and I make it a habit to stay up to date on current best practices.
Ease Converting Designs into Code
You can trust me to take a Designer's photoshop design and quickly & accurately convert it into a webpage that is a pixel-perfect match.
